I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Adrian Stocks and Bagpipes are my Passion
I am a retired Piper,I used to perform under the title of Your Personal Piper.I now spend much of my time writing books on piobaireachd and canntaireachd, an ancient method of singing pipe music.I have devised a way of writing canntaireachd using a timing system to represent the lengths of the notes of a tune. have had a long career as a Piper including: 15 years as a piper in the oldest pipe band in the world still in existence. The Accrington Pipe Band, England. Formed in 1885. (see history in samples of my own pipe tunes page.) 3 years as Pipe Major of The Barrie and District Pipes and Drums, Ontario, Canada. 15 Years as Musical Director of The Ontario Massed Legion Pipes and Drums. Piper in the CFB Borden Pipe Band, Grade 3 Canadian Champions 1992 |
