As you have probably noticed, I didn't go on about being disabled. Heck, that isn't what defines who I am. But if you really are sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, check out LINKS TO PARASITE INFORMATION . It's amazing how many conditions of fatigue, aching joints, and so on can be linked to parasite infestation, yet we fail to fully appreciate the damage they can and do cause. PARASITE CLEARING PROGRAM outlines an array of symptoms indicative of parasites. It's surprising how closely they mimick those of fibromyalgia, as example. Elsewhere on my web site you will read about my own experience with an internal parasite cleansing program in aid of ridding myself of many of the symptoms of fibromyalgia. It does work, and I do feel much better. Dogs get fleas to which sometimes they are allergic and we spend lots of money on treatments for our furry kids, so it reasons that we should at least examine some possibilities for our own better health.
Another concern in our toxic society is that of latex allergies. I encourage you to read the above link and related information about this serious health problem.
LIVING WITH CUSHING'S DISEASE AND POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME explores the journey of a chat pal who may be suspecting that I'm almost as nutty as my fruitcakes. I encourage you to pay her a visit. For over 15 years, I've been relying more and more on herbs and vitamins than on "doctor drugs", as I find the latter far too sedating and prefer to go "au natural" wherever possible. For those of you interested in learning more about vitamins, check out Facts About Dietary Supplements from the National Institute of Health's Clinical Center.
One particular product from which I really benefit is Calms Forte, by HYLAND HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES It's a natural calmative, and I find it especially helpful to restore a more regular rhythm to my heart. Normally, after doing even a bit of housework (vacuuming, etc), my little ticker races and I begin to feel sick. Two Calms tablets bring things back into line beautifully. In fact, I use this particular product with my Cairn terrier who lives with fear-based aggression. I give him a tablet or two before he's groomed, and he behaves beautifully. Previously groomers would have to muzzle him to do anything with his coat or nails. Now, with the Calms, he's one happy boy, with the herb taking the edge of his anxiety. They also have a product for car sickness, but since Mr. Jake loves the car, that's not a problem for him.
For several weeks, I've used two other of the Hyland products that were specifically recommended for my situation (cerebral palsy, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis). They include a preparation for leg cramps and back pain, as well as a formulation for arthritis. I have to say that both worked exceptionally well; so much so, that I have not needed Naproxin 500mg bid. I am confident either one of these formulations would be helpful to children with cerebral palsy who are experiencing "growing pains" and related increase in spasticity.
If you would like more information about Hyland Homeopathic products, I invite you to e-mail them.
And if a good sleep is what you really need more than anything else, visiting GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES may put you right on track. I've derived a great deal of benefit from my adjustable bed with massage. No longer do I wake up in the morning feeling like the Tin Man!
IT'S TIME FOR BED is a story I wrote about my own adjustable bed. I felt it would be helpful to share with those who might be disabled in some way, just how helpful such a bed can be. I know I can't imagine sleeping on anything else. Not long ago, I got some really great bath salts
which I find to be excellent for relieving achy muscles and clearing up a stuffy nose; both common with the fibromyalgia. You don't need very much to create a relaxing bath.
Aromatherapy is yet another process we can use to enhance our daily life. Although I've not yet explored the value of massage oil therapy, I do enjoy another form of aromatherapy, using a lamp that diffuses calming scents.
I find though, that a colored bulb (usually blue) is more restful than the white bulb that comes with the lamp, as the scent of lavender, sandalwood, vanilla, or roses permeates the room. My favorite is the lavender. Much research has been done about aromatherapy and it has been demonstrated that it does indeed provide a calming effect, particularly to those with certain neurological disturbances, like cerebral palsy. I know for myself, I find breathing in certain scents very relaxing, especially at bed time. A lamp such as the one I use would be great in a baby's room, or even in the bedroom of a senior who might be bed ridden. The lamp is small enough that it's not obtrusive and could easily serve as soft lighting while at the same time refreshing the air.
