
MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2004. THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY OUR PRESIDENT, MIKE COX, AT 7:10 PM.
THOSE IN ATTENDENCE WERE MIKE COX, DENNIS SWARTS, KEVIN SWARTS, JOANNE TARI, CAROLINE RICHARDSON, BERNIE ETHIER, SEAN PERCY, JOHN ZAVITZ, MIKE SHEPLEY, JOE LAINO, MIKE RYAN, MIKE TOMEK AND JEN WESTFALL.
ABSENT FROM THIS MEETING WAS JOHN TARI.
MOTION to accept the minutes of the previous meeting, held on September 1, 2004, as circulated, made by Sean Percy and seconded by Mike Shepley. CARRIED.
CORRESPONDENCE:
O.M.H.A. sent us information concerning a Special General Meeting for motions for the next A.G.M. It will be held at the Sheradon in Richmand Hill.
O.M.H.A. also sent us a new rule for checking to the head. It will now be a 2 & 10 (minor & misconduct or major & misconduct).
The red line has been removed in all levels for offside purposes.
Injury forms are to be filled out and submitted, if a player leaves a game and does not return to that game.
TREASURY REPORT:
The following amounts were turned in from our Travel tryouts: Atom ($435.00), Peewee ($495.00), Bantam ($405.00), Midget ($425.00), Juvenile ($296.00).

TRAVEL CONVENOR’S REPORT:
We discussed putting up the rope at the arena, blocking off behind the players benches for the whole season. We have decided to do this..
LOCAL LEAGUE CONVENOR’S REPORT:
All of the schedules are out.

PRE-NOVICE & NOVICE CONVENOR’S REPORT:
Novice jerseys need STOP signs.
ATOM CONVENOR”S REPORT:
All of the teams are done making their selections.
PEEWEE CONVENOR’S REPORT:
All of the teams are finished.
GIRLS’ REPORT:
Mike Ryan will be assisting Caroline with the Girls. The coaches are: Novice- Larry Gyori, Peewee- Tim Meloche, Bantam- Mark Labute, Intermediate- Bob Prince.
CLINIC CONVENOR’S REPORT:
32 people attended the clinic that we held. Everything went well and it was a success.
HOCKEY MOM’S:
The next meeting will be held on October 7, 2004 @ 7:00 pm.
EQUIPMENT CONVENOR’S REPORT:
We will be donating all the off colour socks to the Novice Girls team.
Mike will be ordering new socks and we will sell the old stock at $5.00 per pair.
NEW BUSINESS:
We have had a problem again this season with N.S.F. cheques. We discussed what options we had and have decided that we will no longer accept cheques from certain families, due to past experience. A letter will be outlined and sent out to the families concerned before registration for next season.
We also decided to make a new policy concerning N.S.F. cheques. We will not accept any more then 2 N.S.F. cheques.
MOTION made by Joe Laino and seconded by Sean Percy, to allow only 2 N.S.F. cheques from a family, before we no longer accept cheques from them. CARRIED.
Our existing goalie pads do not have thigh and knee protection. We have been given a price from Reaume Sports to purchase the proper guards at $40.00 per pair. We need to purchase 4 pair.
MOTION to make this purchase made by Joe Laino and seconded by Caroline Richardson. CARRIED.
Bob Allen is doing information seminars. We will look into getting one set up here for our coaches and parents.
MOTION to hold a seminar here, if it can be booked, made by Kevin Swarts and seconded by Mike Ryan. CARRIED.
